The Grounds & Hounds Story
Our story truly began six years ago when I stumbled upon a dog adoption event in Santa Monica, California in the spring of 2012, While I had no plans or intention to become a dog owner when I left the house that morning, a malnourished Dalmatian had other plans. Moments after a small brown and white Dalmatian (then named Amber) crawled into my lap, I knew my plans had changed.
Meeting Molly opened my eyes to a whole new world of social activities (I’m now a frequent attendee of dog birthday parties), people (95% of my friends today are pet parents), and most importantly, the world of animal rescue. She provided the tangible touch point and the emotional reminder that she could have just as easily ended up as a shelter statistic… still makes me cringe writing it 6 years later.
Molly and I quickly adopted a favorite routine of early morning walks around the neighborhood while enjoying a hot cup of coffee. It was through this simple routine that it hit me, how many other dog owners are starting each day with the exact same ritual. That thought, combined with a passion to help more pups like Molly, find loving home inspired creation of Grounds & Hounds Coffee Co.
Committed to using high quality coffee to provide a second chance, Grounds & Hounds Coffee Co. utilizes 20% of the profits to fund animal rescue initiatives throughout the country.
