Tips to Jumpstart Your Morning

Do you consider yourself a morning person? If so, well you may not even need any of these tips. However, for those who aren’t so perky when the sun’s not even up, finding a few ways to get going and feel great is a must.

While getting up early day after day may not be your idea of a good time, there are some things you can do to make it better.

Get Outside

When you first get up in the morning, it may be difficult for your mind and body to get going. If that’s the case, start off by taking  your pup for a potty break outside. They will appreciate this much-needed excursion, and it gives you the chance to get a little fresh air, shake off the cobwebs, and you may even get to see the sunrise.

While your pup is running around the yard, you can take a page out of their book and start to make the most of the day ahead.

Get Some Coffee

For many people, coffee is their lifeblood. Now is the time to brew up  a cup and go about your morning routine. Protip: You can even set your coffee pot to start brewing before you wake up, so you have a fresh pot calling to you while you’re still in bed.

Go for a Walk

A morning walk, coffee, and your pup are a great way to start your day. You can put your coffee in a stylish travel mug, grab the leash, and head out for a jaunt around the block.

If you will be indoors most of the day or must leave for work, your dog will appreciate the time outside before you go. Also, if you get moving, it will help get your blood flowing and help you feel more awake and alert, ready to take on the day.

Do Something Creative

Creative activities in the morning are a good way to get your brain engaged, stimulated and ready for what lies ahead. You can take some time in the morning to journal or draw (consider a sketch  of your pet) or just do something you enjoy. It’s a great way to provide a boost to your mental health before getting on with your other activities.

Make Your Bed

Make your bed before you head out for the day. A made bed is more difficult to get back into and will help get up and stay up. Protip: If your pup likes to cuddle in the blankets, you can always add one on top for them to snuggle in.

However, if you come home to an unmade bed at the end of the day, it can make you feel down or depressed. Take a few minutes to make your bed in the morning, and you’ll feel better in the evening. Nothing feels better than climbing into a made bed.

Get Your Morning Started Right

If you want to have a great morning, you must take steps to make it great every morning. These steps definitely need to include coffee and your dog, which are two things that can help you get a boost and get going faster.
