Today’s guest blogger is Toja, an adorable pup in search of his forever home.
Hello, I’m Toja. As you can see, I’m a pretty cute doggo. I’m about 5 years old and I’m looking for a house and a family to call my own. I’m currently in Savannah, GA with the good folks at the Humane Society of Greater Savannah. But I know my forever family is going to find me soon.
So, a little about me. I’m a pittie mix and I love EVERYBODY. I mean it. Everybody. I get along with people, other dogs, cats and kids. In fact, I’m such a social butterfly, I get pretty nervous when I’m not around others. I don’t mean to, and I’m working really hard on it. But it’s probably why I’ve been returned to the rescue three times.
But, my foster family has been taking a lot of time to help me get over my anxiety. They got me a special collar that helps me feel calm. I also take some medication and listen to music. It all seems to be helping. And now, we have practice sessions where the fosters leave the house for a few minutes at a time. I just need to learn that they’re not leaving forever when they go!
I’d love to live in a very full house. The more people and pups, the better. If you know of anybody looking for a sweet dog who just wants to be your shadow, please have them inquire about me with the Humane Society of Greater Savannah.

Every year millions of animals end up in shelters for one reason or another. Unfortunately, space is limited in these shelters and some dogs never get the chance to find a forever home. Furthermore, some of these animals require special attention that is hard to give in a shelter environment. But the good news is that you can help by becoming a dog foster parent!
