The latte is ubiquitous. There's not a coffee shop in the world that doesn't offer it. But here's how to save a little money by making this delicious classic at home!
1.) Brew 2 oz espresso (double shot)
2.) Steam 10 oz whole milk
3.) Combine and enjoy!
Don't forget that the key to a great latte is the espresso you start with. Check out our guide to brewing the perfect espresso if you need a refresher:
This beverage has been popular in one form or another since the 17th century. The original concoction was simply espresso combined with milk. The modern take, however, uses steamed milk instead. This is the version of the latte that you'll find almost all over the world.
Latte is short for Caffe Latte, meaning coffee with milk. In many non-English speaking countries, they still use some version of the full name. So, be careful ordering a "latte" in Italy, they'll give you a glass of milk.
Now that you know the history and the process behind the latte, ready to try it yourself? It's important to make sure you have the best espresso as your base, so pick up some Two Tails Espresso Blend at the Grounds & Hounds Coffee Co. store.

Summer has a flavor. It tastes like cold brew on a hot morning. Like sunscreen and lake water. Like beach towels in the backseat, sandy paws, campfire smoke, and late sunsets with your favorite people (and dogs) nearby.
