Bully breed pups hold a special place in our heart. They are the most overlooked, overrepresented, and chastised pups in the shelter system. That's why we're excited to announce our newest Rescue Roast partner, Players for Pits! This amazing group focuses on the "underdogs" of the rescue world: bully breeds with special needs.
Unfortunately, the truth is that bully breeds, or even dogs that are misidentified as pit bulls, spend more time in the shelter than their counterparts of other breeds. The situation is even more dire for pit bulls with special needs, such as medical or behavioral issues.
That's where Players for Pits steps in. They're a foster-driven rescue based in the Chicagoland area. They find the neediest pibble pups, pull them from the shelters, rehabilitate them and find them forever homes.
What makes Players for Pits unique is its connection to athletes. Because of founder Stephanie Paluch's roots in the world of professional sports, Players for Pits is able to leverage relationships with professional athletes and utilize their platforms to help find homes for pups.
The connection between athletes and pit bulls is a natural one. Bully breeds make great companions for people with active lifestyles. And, with over 1,200 dogs saved since their founding in 2011, Players for Pits has clearly found something special in this connection.
We're proud to help Players for Pits continue its mission to rescue pibble pups. Through April 15th, 100% of the profits from the sale of Rescue Roast will benefit Players for Pits. Please we hope you'll pick up a bag and join us in saving more of these loving pups!

Summer has a flavor. It tastes like cold brew on a hot morning. Like sunscreen and lake water. Like beach towels in the backseat, sandy paws, campfire smoke, and late sunsets with your favorite people (and dogs) nearby.

Some dogs are easy to love.
Others are overlooked, labeled, or left behind.
At Grounds & Hounds Coffee Co., we believe those are the dogs who need us most.
That’s why we’re proud to partner with Forgotten, Now Family Rescue as our Rescue Roast beneficiary from May 1 through June 15—a rescue known for stepping in when others can’t.
For this limited time, 100% of Rescue Roast profits will go directly toward their lifesaving work.
