Transporting Pups with North Shore Animal League America!

This month, we’re launching what we hope will be our biggest Rescue Roast donation program ever! Through the entire holiday season, 100% of the profits from Rescue Roast will benefit New York based, North Shore Animal League America. This amazing group is one of the world’s largest no-kill rescue and adoption organizations.

Operating since 1944, this amazing organization has saved over 1.1 million animals! Each year they find loving, responsible homes for roughly 18,000 animals!

Every purchase of Rescue Roast over the next six weeks will help fund North Shore Animal League America’s Humane Relocation Program. This program deploys mobile rescue units, virtual shelters on wheels, throughout the country to transport animals from municipal shelters to the safety of Animal League America.

North Shore Animal League America’s humane relocation, or transport, program is the Gold Standard in the animal welfare space and has been replicated by humane organizations nationwide. The team rescues homeless animals from municipal shelters where they would have faced euthanasia. This includes dogs and cats that would have been killed for being pregnant or having a treatable condition such as an upper respiratory infection (URI) or kennel cough and many other serious but treatable illnesses.

Rescues are conducted from overcrowded municipal shelters nationwide including, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Texas and Florida just to name a few.  All animals are medically and behaviorally evaluated as they arrive at Animal League America, where they receive the individualized medical care and any rehabilitation and grooming they need to be readied for adoption.

In its 20 year history, this incredible program has transported more than 150,000 dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens to North Shore Animal League America’s Port Washington campus.
