At this point in history, we probably don't need to provide much background on the Keurig brewer or how it works, but for years and year everyone assumed the only approach to making a cup of coffee with the single-serve brewer was to drop in a pod, hit the button, and you're done, right?! But, maybe there are a few ways to make that k-cup taste even better. Here are a handful of simple tips and tricks that can take your single serve coffee to the next level.
1. Start by filling your reservoir with cold filtered water
2. Heat the water and run a brewing cycle with no K-cup inserted into the Keurig brewer. This will allow the brewer to bring the water temperature to a more optimal level.
3. For a stronger cup of coffee, select the 6 oz. brewing size (the smaller cup button on your brewer)
4. With our Grounds & Hounds Coffee Co. recyclable single serve pods, after you finish the brewing process, set aside the used pod and let cool. Once the used pod has cooled for 60 minutes, remove the foil, discard the spent coffee grounds (great for compost or planters), and recycle the remaining materials.
With these easy tips, you can make the most of every cup with your Keurig brewer. For more coffee gear and supplies be sure to visit our Gear Collection here!
